Sea-scorpions and the little Kalbarria scuttle along the shoreline looking for edible flotsam. These arthropods are among the very first animals to walk on land.

Millions of years later, their trackways will be preserved as the Tumblagooda Sandstone in Kalbarri Gorge, Western Australia. The age of the Tumblagooda trackways is poorly constrained but probably date from somewhere between the Early Ordovician and Late Silurian.
